Men's Soccer Fall to Fairleigh Dickinson 5-0

TEANECK, N.J.- The Sacred Heart University Men's Soccer team fell to Fairleigh Dickinson by a final score of 5-0 tonight. The team will play in its final game of the season on Friday, Nov. 2 when the Pioneers host St. Francis Brooklyn. Prior to the start of the game, the team will honor its seniors as it will be Senior Day. 

The Knights would begin the five goal night at 12:28 when Adrian Barajas scored a goal off an assist by Diego Arribas and Leo Dalesandro to put the Knights ahead 1-0. Just three minutes later Fairleigh Dickinson would score the second goal of the evening when Ideal Shefqeti splited a shot passed the goalie to give the Knights a 2-0 lead at 15:33. Just before the first half closed, Fairleigh Dickinson would score one more time to make the score 3-0 at the end of one. SHU would only be able to salvage three shots in the first half compared to Fairleigh Dickinson's 13. 

The Pioneers would be able to attempt five shots in the second one in which Altin Celaj fired a shot at 65:06 but it would be saved keeping the score at 4-0. The Knights would tally two more goals in the second half to eventually give Fairleigh Dickinson the 6-0 victory. Freshman Segundo Navarro led the Pioneers in shots with four on the day. The team will play in its final game of the season on Friday, Nov. 2 when the Pioneers host St. Francis Brooklyn. Prior to the start of the game, the team will honor its seniors as it will be Senior Day.
