Pioneers Fall In WNIT Opener
Queens, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart womens basketball team would drop a 72-43 game to the St. John Red Storm in the opening round of the WNIT. Hannah Kimmel would lead SHU in her final game of her career posting her 33rd career double-double. The Pioneers close out their season 17-15.

Pioneers Take On St. Johns In Opening Round Of WNIT
The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team have earned back-to-back bids to the WNIT tournament, as look to take down a familiar foe, in St. Johns. The Pioneers rounded up the season placing second in the regular season, and falling in the NEC semi finals to Bryant. The Red Storm of St. Johns finished fourth in the Big East with a 20-11 record, and 11-7 among conference opponents. This will mark the 10th consecutive year and the 12th time in the last 13 seasons, the Red Storm will make an appearance in the post season.

Adaysha Williams Puts Up 26 Points As SHU Falls 75-68 To Bryant
Fairfield, CT. – The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team hosted the Bulldogs of Bryant in the NEC Semi-Finals, as Bryant picked up a 75-68 upset over the Pioneers. SHU was led by senior Adaysha Williams who put up a career high 26 points. The Pioneers finished the season 17-14 (13-5).

Pioneers Host Bryant In NEC Semi-Final Matchup
The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team brought their “A” game to their opening round of the NEC tournament, as they took down St. Francis Brooklyn 90-69. Hannah Kimmel lit up the scoreboard with 32 points, while Katherine Haines and Kimmel both recorded double-doubles. The Pioneers now move onto the semi-finals as they look to take down the Bulldogs of Bryant at 7pm in the William H. Pitt Center.

Pioneers Were Lights Out Beyond The Arc, Taking Down St. Francis Booklyn 90-69
Fairfield, CT- The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team picked up a huge, NEC quarterfinal victory over the Terriers of St. Francis Brooklyn 90-69. Hannah Kimmel finished the night with a new season high 32 points, and recorded her sixth double-double of the season. Katherine Haines also ended the night with her tenth double-double of the season ending with 15 points, and 11 boards. The Pioneers are back at home this Wednesday as they host the NEC semifinals at 7:00pm in the William H. Pitt center.

The Sacred Heart Women’s Basketball team was honored with a number of awards to conclude the NEC Regular season. The Pioneers finished the season with a 16-13 record, and second place in the NEC with a record of 13-5. The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team took the road to take on defending NEC Champions Robert Morris 66-56. Katherine Haines had a career setting night as she posted her eighth double-double of the season. Haines snagged a new career high 18 rebounds, and set a new career high 23 points. The Pioneers finish their regular season Monday on ESPN3 as they take on Saint Francis U.

Fairfield, CT.- The Women’s Basketball team held their annual Pack the Pitt game, as they took on the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights. The Pioneers would go on to pick up a 68-60 overtime victory. Katherine Haines recorded her seventh double-double of the night, finishing with 20 points, and 10 boards. Three Pioneers would finish in double-digits as Hannah Kimmel would record 13, and Kelcey Castro would finish with 10. The Pioneers head into the final weekend of regular season as they take on Robert Morris, and Saint Francis U.

Sophomore Katherine Haines, earned NEC Player of the Week for the second time this season, after leading Sacred Heart to a 2-0 weekend. The Pioneers clinched a spot in the NEC tournament and currently sit at 11-3 in NEC play, tied for first with Robert Morris. Haines posted back-to-back double-doubles over the weekend, and averaged 19.5 PPG. The Pioneers are back in action Saturday, as they take on the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds at 3:00pm.

Katherine Haines lead the Pioneers as she posted her fifth double-double of the season, as she ended the night with 22 points, and 15 rebounds. The Pioneers now clinch a spot in the NEC tournament and move on to play St. Francis Brooklyn Monday at 6:00pm.

Katherine Haines would record a new career high 22 points as she shot 9-15 from the floor. Adaysha Williams would finish in double digits as well recording 13 points for the Pioneers.

Kelcey Castro who recorded a new season high 17 points led Sacred Heart. Three Pioneers finished the night in the double digits as Hannah Kimmel posted 15 points, and Katherine Haines tallied 14.

SHU’s Kelcey Castro (Fairlawn, N.J.) set a new season high posting 16 points and leading the Pioneers. Hannah Kimmel (Harpursville, N.Y.) ended the night with 12 points and just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds. Also posting her fourth straight double-digit game was Katherine Haines (Ridgefield, N.J.) who tallied 12 points.

The senior drained seven shots from downtown to help lead the Pioneers to a 69-59 win over Robert Morris. Katherine Haines (Ridgefield, N.J.) registered her first career double-double as she grabbed 14 rebounds, and 12 points.

Katherine Haines (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) lit up the scoreboard with a personal best 20 points, while shooting .727 (8-11) from the floor, but the Sacred Heart women’s basketball team couldn’t overcome a first-quarter deficit and fell to Lehigh 68-62 at Stabler Arena Saturday night. The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-2 on the young season, while the Mountain Hawks improved to 3-1.

Women's Basketball Picked as NEC Preseason Favorite, Kimmel Named Preseason All-NEC
The Sacred Heart women’s basketball team was picked first in the Northeast Conference Preseason Poll receiving six first place votes as announced by the league Wednesday morning at the Barclays Center as part of the 2016 NEC Basketball Social Media Day. Along with the poll, the NEC also announced the 2016 Preseason All-NEC Team, which featured the reigning Player of the Year, Sacred Heart’s Hannah Kimmel (Harpursville, N.Y.).
