VERONA, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart University men's golf team opened up its 2019 fall season sitting in 11th place after day one at the annual Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate at Turning Stone Resort & Casino on Sunday.
The Pioneers finished day one with a team score of +24 and a 312 total. Tournament host Missouri led the field after day one with a score of six-under par. North Carolina sits in second as they shot five-under for the day.
Saptak Talwar led the Pioneers scoring group as he finished tied for 8th at 1-under par. Nathan Kim finished the day tied for 14th at +2-over par. Jake Sullivan followed, tied for 57th after shooting f14-over par. Shane Richardson and Clifford Lindholm rounded out the group as they shot 16-over apiece.
The Pioneers are back in action Monday when they complete the final rounds of the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate.
