Men's Tennis Falls To St. John's To Kick Off Spring Season

QUEENS, N.Y.- The Sacred Heart University Men's Tennis team fell to St. John's this afternoon by a final score of 7-0. The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, January 25 when SHU hosts Boston University at the Tennis Club of Trumbull. Matches begin at 5:30 p.m.

Sophomore William Wibmer held the tightest match in singles play as he fell to Charlie James 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 taking the first game but falling in the two after. In doubles, a tie between the duo of Seiji Hosokawa and Wibmer versus Igor Maslov and Charlie James were the highlights of the doubles as the match ended in a 5-5 stalemate.
