Men's Tennis Drops Tight Match to Boston University 4-3

TRUMBULL, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Men's Tennis team fell to Boston University this afternoon by a final score of 4-3. The Pioneers will return to action tomorrow Sunday, January 26 when the Pioneers host Davidson. Matches begin at 12:45 p.m.

Sophomore William Wibmer and senior Seiji Hosokawa had the best performances for the Pioneers as Hosokawa defeated Owen Lu 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) while Wibmer defeated Pete Siozios in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. First-year Matic Podlipnik also picked up a win in singles for SHU defeating Max Hartenstein 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-3. In doubles the duo of Hosokawa and Wibmer defeated Lu and Bogaton 7-5.
