IC4A/ECAC Championship Performances Highlighted By School Record

The Sacred Heart University track and field teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, with great success.

All-East

Highlights

  • The 4 x 800 relay broke the school record twice, surpassing the 2012 mark of 7:38.96, in prelims with a run of 7:35.86 and again in finals on Sunday, with a run of 7:34.97
  • Pandolfo led off the finals run with a 1:52.6 split, after having never raced under 1:54 in an 800 relay
  • LaForest, the indoor 500m school record holder, ran 1:53.8 in prelims and 1:53.5 in the finals, breaking 1:57 for the first two times in his career
  • Corbett, who had never gone under 1:56, ran a 1:55 in prelims and 1:54.5 in the finals
  • Shilleh posted a 1:53.0 split in prelims, going under 1:55 for the first time
  • Kilmer was 9th going into the final event of the pentathlon and ran a personal-best in the 800, moving up to sixth in the final standings
