FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Riding a season-high five-game win streak the Sacred Heart University women's basketball team takes on top-seeded Robert Morris University Thursday night in the Northeast Conference Tournament semifinal. The 7:00 pm game will be available on ESPN3 and NEC Front Row, with Paul Dottino and Karen Hall calling the action.

The Pioneers are playing in the semifinal round of the NEC Tournament for the fifth consecutive season. The Pioneer last advanced to the NEC Championship Game in 2016.

SHU earned its spot in the semifinals with a 73-70 win over Saint Francis on Monday, with four players scoring in double figures. Adrianne Hagood and Sonia Smith both scored 17 points, as SHU upset the fourth-seeded Red Flash. Hagood is averaging 15.2 points per game over the last four outings, while Smith is scoring 12.7 a game in the last three outings. Jayla Davis continues to provide a late season spark as well, averaging 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds a game in the last two outings.
